KIRKLAUCHLINE HOLIDAY COTTAGE TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS

  • All terms are per week (Saturday to Saturday) unless specified.
  • A binding contract will exist once a deposit is paid.
  • The hirer will not sub let the premises or any part thereof.
  • Only those persons named on the booking form are entitled to stay in the accommodation, and the total number in your party shall not exceed the advertised capacity.
  • A deposit of £100 is payable with each booking. The balance of the cost will be due 8 weeks prior to the commencement of your stay together with a returnable security deposit of £100 and all cheques should be made payable to Mrs. Alison Smith. The full amount is payable if less than 8 weeks between booking and holiday.
  • If, once, you have paid a deposit, you find that you have to cancel your booking, please notify us by telephone followed up with an immediate written confirmation of cancellation. The £100 initial deposit is nonreturnable. If you have to cancel once you have paid the full cost we will do our utmost to re-let the accommodation in which case you will be returned the balance owing.
  • In the event that the accommodation cannot be re-let the hirer will be responsible for paying for the period of tenancy booked if a substitute cannot be found.
  • We advise you to take out holiday insurance to cover any problems or cancellations.
  • The security deposit covers the cost of any damage or breakage’s in or to the accommodation, along with any additional costs that may result – which are caused by you or your party. This deposit will be refunded to you one week after your holiday as long as you or your party has not caused any damage or loss and the accommodation has been left clean and tidy.
  • Your accommodation is cleaned before your arrival and as a limited amount of time is available to clean between holidays, please leave it and its contents as clean and tidy as it was when you arrived.
  • Your accommodation will be ready for you from 4 p.m. onwards on your start date. Please do not arrive any earlier. Please make sure that you leave by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
  • Fuel (Oil, and Electricity) is included in the cost of your holiday, with an initial supply of Logs and Coal. One hand towel and one bath towel per person will be included together with bed linen and kitchen linen.
  • The hirer must prevent any member of his party from causing a nuisance or disturbance to neighboring residents.
  • We accept no responsibility or liability for any damage or injury to any member of the party, however caused.
  • Your vehicles and their accessories and contents are left entirely at your own risk as are all personal belongings left in the property.
  • We cannot accept bookings from anyone less than 18 years of age.
  • For the convenience of our guests we operate a STRICT no smoking policy.
  • You must notify us of any shortcomings with your accommodation immediately so that action can be taken. The owners may enter the premises at a reasonable hour for inspection purposes.
